AEM Cold Air Intake or K&N Typhoon Intake

Hi there,
So I'm looking into upgrading to a cold air intake system since I have to replace my filter at 120k and was wondering what the opinions are about the intakes available. I myself am looking at the AEM cold air intake systems that go down to the wheel wall and the K&N typhoon intake which is basically a short ram intake, or so it seems. The K&N promises a ~4hp gain at around 3000rpm and it's K&N so I'm really drawn towards it but I don't know much about the AEM cold air. Share your opinions on the systems below if you guys have them and feel free to recommend any other brands for me to consider.

Also, I'm in California so it needs to be CARB Legal, which is also what pulls me towards the K&N since I'm not sure if the AEM is CARB street legal.

Thanks everyone!

I had the aem, the filter was always getting wet which made it run like crap, and even stall in the rain

Simple - if the AEM is CARB legal, go for it. If not, get the K&N.

Thank you guys, that made my decision a lot easier. K&N it is. I'll post up pics and stuff once I've got it.

You could also get a SVT intake track that would be "stock" parts that go un noticed. Add a paper filter of your choice.
