Hi, I have a 2005 focus zx4 se and have the same issue. An aux button with no input. My stereo does say mp3 on it. I would like to get an aux input if they're cheap, but it looks like they're not. So I would like to already go for a head unit with Bluetooth capabilites, so I can use the car's speakers for my phone calls and dial phone calls hands free. Does anyone know of a good cheap unit? I see there's a store called Alibaba that sells tons of units from China that look quite feature packed for good prices. Do they sell to private people as well? Does anyone have any experience with those units? I'm on a tight budget. They have units with Android and navigation usb playback etc. Here's the link: http://m.alibaba.com/products/ford_f...h_car_dvd.html

Also, what's this what I see in this thread about the handles? I'm new here so I don't quite get it.

Thanks so much!

Somebody posted a link to one for $60, which doesn't sound too bad to me.

I would go to crutchfield.com for research into headunits. Granted, I wouldn't buy one from there as crutchfield tends to be pricey, but it's a good research site.

Thanks for the quick reply. I see there are cheaper aftermarket head units that do more on Amazon. For example, http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0071L...ref=mp_s_a_1_2

For $35. Is there any reason I should not get these over the $60 aux part above? Also, did anyone have any experience with those Chinese stuff above?

Thanks so much for the help! I'm new here and I'm just starting to learn about these things.

The good thing about Crutchfield is that they give you almost all the extra's for nothing to get you up and running. Just have to read the vehicle specifics if they have anything that has something extra you may need but usually they let you have it with a discount if you purchase the main item.

Thanks. Sounds good. Did anyone ever try this in their focus? Looks pretty decent. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWR9...FFDouble%40DIN

Edit: just saw that they sell cheaper single din ones such as this Sony: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158N500...er-reviews-tab

It looks just as good, if not better, if I understand correctly..

Its all really gonna depend on what type of functions your looking for and your budget.

I actually prefer the look of the stock radio, but really would like to play music off of my phone instead of using the crappy local radio stations. Bluetooth would be nice as well.

So, what you're saying is that there's no difference between single din and double Don, besides the size?

If you have the steering wheel controls and want to kept those you'll need to set aside some extra for an adapter .
