I don't know about the ride quality of those , but I do know that once you have the wheels off, it's about 30 min a corner as long as you have a spring compressor (which can be rented) and an impact gun. The fronts, you pop the brake line off of the strut, disconnect the endlink and remove the bolt from the knuckle. Then you remove the top 3 bolts and it will come out, you may have to stand on the knuckle to get the strut out. For the rears, take out the trunk liner from the walls, use an inner spring compressor to remove the rear springs, remove the bottom bolt from the shock, the remove the top bolt from the shock.

Everything goes back in, the same way it came out.

Thanks again katie. I'll talk to my mechanic and see about how much he'll charge me to put them on.

I ride on Eibach Proline springs(right at a 1.5" drop)and SVT dampers. I bought everything here on this site for just over $200.00 shipped. It took me and a buddy about 3 hrs to put it on the car with hand tools. Remember, you must get an alignment soon afterwards to prevent unneeded wear to your tires. It is a great mod.

So, I've decided to have the family friend install my motor mounts for me when I get my car inspected in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I'm going to save up and get a more proper suspension that I will be happier with.

Sometimes, I just get so anxious to get something done that I just jump into it and cut corners. After hearing you guys, I'm better off relaxing a bit and taking my time with the proper suspension. So thank you guys for talking some sense into me.

Now, with that said. I still don't feel that I need to be putting $1k into a suspension into my sedan, unless you guys feel otherwise? Can you please give me a link or two to a suspension that is between $500 - $1k that you feel is good? That will give me some time to put some money aside and when the time comes, I'll get it and have it installed.

I think that taking this course of action is the best and I'm sure you all believe the same as well. Let me know your guys thoughts and what you believe would be good for me. I put about 12K miles on my car a year, mostly going to and from work with pretty crappy winters here in "Pothole City" (Pittsburgh, PA).

Question

I PM'd katiekate but I should have asked this in here instead. This way I'm not just bothering one person, I'm bother ALL of you!

So my mechanic said he'd install whatever I asked him to, it wouldn't be a problem. So not only am I going to have him install new engine mounts, but I think I'm going to do the suspension kit as well.

I'll probably get the kit that katiekate linked earlier, this:

http://www.c-f-m.com/performancepart...1#.U9K3evldWSq

Here are my questions:

Can I also add a spring kit to it as well? Would one of these be better?

http://www.c-f-m.com/performancepart...3#.U9K4GPldWSo

or

http://www.c-f-m.com/performancepart...3#.U9K4JfldWSo

Does anyone have suggestions, comments or even experience with these?

I'd like to get the kit(s) so he can install them when my car is inspected mid-August. Then I'll be done working on my car (for a while that is )

Thanks everyone!

Anyone? Or should I stick strictly to the original set that katiekay linked?

Use the Ford Racing springs. Talk to William at CFM and let him know that you are a member here. Really cool dude.

Thanks freemind! I'll give William a call! Am I asking to speak with him for any sale or is it just to speak with him about what my best bet to do is?

So I can put the racing springs with the kit that katiekate suggested I get and they can both be installed with one another?

Yes ask for William.

The Ford Racing stuff is hand in glove.
