congrats on all your street racing kills i hope you never hit someone while racing and kill them in your attempt to prove that you have the bigger mantenna.

whats just as sad is that you kept such detailed notes on all of them.

na once I killed my first clutch I knda stayed away from street racing I really try not to street race any more have seen heard and had happen racing storys

well there are 2 ways of looking at it.. the people i race i have known for awhile and know their driver skill we are in a huge group and we all kno each other and we never race in traffic or on roads..when we go race we go to our usual abandoned street where the only people can get hurt are the ones racing , which in the 2 years ive been around them has never happend and that is ur own choice. Also most of the time we go to the track which is real close to our house about 10min drive. Im not sure what others do when they race but stay safe and either take it to a track or an abandoned area

Don't race much these days but the only times I have were;

94' Tercell (don't know what he was thinking but he pulled up and reved on me - beat him by about 15 car lengths)

91 Supra Turbo (at least cat-back)

98'ish Neon converted over to turbo (pretty built but the kid just could not drive)

That's about it, it really takes me getting pissed off and having conditions be pretty open for me to race these days, but that happens as you get older.

yeah Gabe when I first got my car I use to race everyone lol. Thats why I have replaced alot of parts on my focus. Oh I forgot to tell about one more focus win. Well its a guy I work with he has a regular and used to have a cold air well. We were at the light and we took of well I usually rev till 7 rpm at let lose. Ill lose traction for a quick second but when it grabs boom Im in 5 rpm and switch to second quick if ur still by my side at 5 rpm in second well u wont be by the time im in third haha. Well we took of I lost traction and he got a jump of about 1 to 2 ft ahead of me but once I got traction he was dead in the water. But now when he tell the story oh yeah my car got the jump on Shauns svt and I beat him from the jump. Haha but on the freeway his car would kill mine This is usually when I laugh and people listening ask is this true and I just smile and say yeah. Hay u cant kill alot of peoples dream haha.

how about just taking it to a track period? they have regulations there on safety equipment... and with more experienced drivers there (instead of idiot weekend racers) you can assure that everyone stays safe. yes, you guys might just go to an abandoned road... but what if you hit one of your friends who is there and wasnt racing - it wasnt his fault that happened, right? its just an issue of how much responsibility one wants to take. most dont want to race at a track because it's more work (or maybe people dont want to be embarrased at how slow they are in front of other people

i street raced when i was younger and didnt know any better... now i just think it's incredibly dangerous and asinine. of course it is going to happen, but i dont think we as enthusiasts should add to the negative image of car tuners, you know what i mean?
