ST170 Center Console?
An ST170 center console sounds interesting, but I can't find any good high-res pictures of one online. Can someone post theirs? You'd get bonus points if you compared it to your stock or stock SVT center console.


If anyone knows the differences between stock consoles, please post info. It seems that some consoles were 1 peice, some had a removable area where the boot attaches, and some had armrests. Which different models/years got the different armrests?

One thing about european cars is that their cupholders are usually smaller. I believe that's true for the ST170, the cupholders are slightly smaller ;) The shape is a bit different, but it's a subtle change. Someone should have a good picture somewhere..

Yeah I thought it's virtually the same except it comes with that bezel surround piece and also, the front end of it comes up to meet the bottom of the HVAC surround section of dash, whereas on our NA ones there's a gap.

I don't think the difference is much or very noticeable from a non-armrested SVT one.

Oddly enough I just installed the euro console mere moments ago but i dont currently have my digtal camera. I should have it back in a day or so so will post some detailed pics of it. It involved some work installing it in a former armrest car but nothing too intense. Stay tuned.

Road, did it involve anything other than removing the armrest base's "Stump" (best word I can think of for it)?

I'd like to see pics when your camera comes back.

Guys, I'm sorry i haven't responded but I'm "between homes" right now, moving to Columbus Ohio. Yeah I just took and angle grinder to the "stump" and cut the tab that held in the no longer used original heater cover. The tab is located at the very bottom of the center portion of the dashboard under the HVAC portion. Beyond that just drilling the hole to screw the rear of the new console down thats all there was to it. And I SWEAR I will have pics up as soon as I can, possibly Monday.
