POwer door Lock Trouble..

I dont know when this started but i noticed it today. The passanger door lock does not work. I realized that my passanger door was probably now always open. When I press the lock switch on both the driver side and passanger side, you hear the mechanism on both sides lock the car, but the passanger side door does not actually lock. The little button that says LOCK does not pop out so the white shows... i need to do tht manually. When i press the button on the door, you hear the mechanism pushing the thing but it does not pup out. What can be wron? I took the panel off before to put some isolation in there so it does not raddle, could I have disconnected something? If so.. what? How does it work. Thanks!

In between the doors there is 2 connectors, if you open the door you can see if they are tight enough, you do this by hand.
Then next step, there was a recall on this, but it was on the door not latching, so probably not pertaining towards you.
Another thing, maybe a fuse? I dunno.

And this goes in Focus Tech chat, just FYI.

the actuator could be dead. thats the thing that pushes the lock open and close
do u hear the noise on the passenger side? or just on the drivers' door. and does the open/ close noise sound a little dead like its struggling to lock/unlock the door? if so i think the actuator is dead. gotta replace the actuator and it should be all good :)

if its the fuse click here.
http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/s...ght=power+lock i had the exact same prob. just that my power locks and keyless entry didnt work
