about speed limiter

hi,
I have a 05' ST . I tried to test my car's limit last month, but I found that when I was at 115 mph and something limiting my throttle.
Could any one tell me about whether there is speed limiter in ST ?
Could you give me some advice (i.e. SCT flasher ........) thx.

The speed limit should be around 110, and you can get it reflashed from a couple companies. A lot of people have had it done here. As far as him going that fast, he didnt say it was on a highway... it could've been on a track (but i doubt it :( ) But yea... slow down.

The ST has the speed limiter set at 120. With a reflash you will increase your speed to about 130 to 135 that's about max for the design of the ST 2.3, I don't have the reflash, this topic was brought up in one of the other forums.

As stated above the limit is supposed to be set at 120. And i don't think the reflash has been perfected for the ST yet. I have yet to see the 120 mark... haven't been to a track yet.

Tuning the ST is exactly the same as tuning the other duratec's.

Things should be happening fairly soon...

I've been up to about 122 mph, or about 195 kph, seeing as I live in Canada. Pretty fast for an "economy car". I've hit it a few times, this car really pulls up there. Not as good as my 89 probe 2.2 turbo. But acceptable.
