2005 ZX3 Rear Tail Lights - Convert to Euro?

Does anybody know if European Focus tail lights will fit my 2005 Focus ZX3 SES? I'd prefer yellow indicators and the high intensity rear fog light than the cheap all red cluster we now have. If a Euro cluster won't fit, is there a mod I can perform to add the just the rear fog lamp , so it comes on when I turn the front fogs on? Thanks.

the tails on the US/Canadian 05 ZX3/5 are identical to the ZX3/5 tails from 1999, 2000, etc.. all the way to 2004. The euro spec ones only have a park lamp and blinker in them, while US spec has park lamp (which also duplicates as red signal) and reverse. you would require a major re-wiring job and cosmetic replacement job to make them function just like they would on the euro cars, I said cosmetic because you would have to find a place on your car to locate the independant reverse lamp that doesnt come with the tail lamps.

Ok, simple answer...

YES, they will fit as they're the same so long as you get the tails from a first gen euro focus. You'll know, they look just like our other than the yellow signal.

As for reverse, that's where it's tricky. You'll either have to wire something up differently, or custom mold a euro reverse light into your bumper. Unless of course you want to get a euro bumper. then that problem is solved as well.

There used to be a how-to thread (with pics) on the Euro conversion... I can't locate it here or the 'other' forum anymore!

'Neb-mind! Found it:
