your poll options will not let you choose which one, you need to change the forum.

Simple answer : GEtrag for Aut0cross or rally, MTX to go FAST

SVT is meant to buy and drive.
ZX3 is meant to MOD, its lighter, better Trans, NON INTERFRENCE, money left over for parts,

I have a zetec fully built and boosted with mtx75. For boost I would stick with that. Svt has a great block for boost but everything else causes problems the vct timing (which i know they have found ways around it) still a hassle. and the getreg deff cant handle the power a mtx75 can. plus you pay mor for svt and insurance is more as well. If you just want a fun little car you dont mod and gets great mpg. get the svt... if you want to go fast and mod the hell out of something. get the zetec.. Just like texas said.

Wow. Dumbest poll ever. lol...what was i thinking

Anywho, I am looking at both options as I have access to both Zetec/MTX75 and SVT/Getrag.

The car is just a daily seasonal car used for my business to go to meets and such. Not looking for a dyno queen. 300whp/WTQ max type power.

From the responses people have taken the time to make thus far, the Zetec/MTX75 looks to be the way to go. The non-interference aspect is appealing as well as not having to tackle the VCT.

I'd say the same if your going turbo.^^^^^^^ You don't need a 6 speed w/ a turbo.

I had my doubts about the getrag going in. Not anymore. Thanks.

Want to lol, I thought the same thing when I posted that. I am starting my build plans now for next year. I have been missing the national meets, in fact have yet to make one, but not next year. Gotta clear the schedule, build the car, and make it happen! Fitting SEMA in would be a bonus.
