When I had my 02 zx5 with a an ATX, short ram and cat back I was dead even with a SXT w/ a manual. The ST will spank it. Plus with the cat back from a SRT-4 on him sxt he will be loosing some bottom end power to the the system was designed for a 2.4 w/ a turbo.

as for the ST being the best focus......I will have to agree with yakimushi.... SVT then ST but thats a whole other topic that will get WAY out of hand.

and WELCOME to FF

I prefer to think of it more as "put on hiatus". I have no doubt Ford will release another sport compact SVT in the future. Market trends will pretty much demand it.

And discontinued or not my SVT will still take an ST and look better doing it

151 hp vs. 170 - look bleak - never believe numbers only. The ST may have less horsepower, but it has more torque at lower engines speeds - 154 lb-ft at 4250 rpm vs. 145 lb-ft at 5500 rpm. Acceleration is not off by much compared to the late SVT, and the ST is a more well-rounded, less narrowly-focused car. GO FOCUS ST!!!!

I don't dispute the numbers, you guys might get a small jump off the line but the SVT will still win.

But I don't understand the quoted comment. Cargo space is more limited, handling is reduced, and braking is reduced as compared to the SVT. Basically the ST is a dumbed down, mild-mannered SVTish sedan.

I also realized that I never answered the original post question. You'll get 'em, no prob. Death to Neons!
