So the stock header is as good as its gonna get, and I've race an svt with intake, so all that really leaves me with as bolt ons is a magnaflow over the SVT, and I still beat him so, I dunno. And by the way the WRX numbers are as follows: max power = 163.5 Max torque = 172. Your SVT = w/ tune, short ram and UDP: Max power = 160.9 max torque = 142.9 My 2.3L: max power 160.52 max torque = 157.66. Who do you think will win the race?

-Crane IIs, Eagle rods, Supertech pistons and Cossie intake manifold on the way

I recomend getting the book "High-Performance Ford Focus Builders Handbook". They have about every part you could want to put on a focus, plus a write up on the part and dyno testing to prove it all. For example AEM intake = 7hp and 10lbs tq, adjustable sprocket for exahust cam on svt = 7hp and 5lbs tq, off road pipe and focus central long tube header = 9hp and 4lbs tq, plus add a tune to those numbers and who knows the final out come. All those numbers were dyno figures from an SVT. I just wanted to throw those numbers out there for those that say the svt does not respond well to mods. One other thing those parts were dyno'd independent of each other so if you throw them all on ther together the dyno numbers would probably not be equal to just adding them all up I would guess.

I dunno but I know who will look better doing it

*J/K man....it's all good. But do not forget the massive parasitic loss on the WRX AWD drivetrain and increased weight.

That would explain why I've never heard of that - I thought maybe you knew about something I didn't.

PZEVracer..you remind me of the v6 and GT mustang guys that do some mods to their cars, and then hate on the cobra guys..your car is a POS.. you spend a bunch of money just to hang with an svt..get a life dude. You don't have all the shit the svt has. Gee whiz, you put some bolt-ons on your Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle, and claim it's a "better" car. truth is, you wish you owned an svtf, so you decided to fix your tree hugger up....I mean it's cool and I understand (i used to have a blown v6 stang) about wanting to be cool. but you ain't, so get over it.

So your Duratec has an intake, headers, exhaust and you got rid of the cat. It probably made around 125 whp and 132 tq. stock, so you got 35 whp and 25 wtq. from an intake, header and exhaust and getting rid of the cat?

I went to your site - nice looking car, but I don't know about 35 whp from your mods.

lol. settle down people. I find it funny that we are arguing about speed on a focus forum. We don't drive fast cars (not those of us w/o FI or v8 swaps anyway). obviously if you mod a car it has the potential of beating a different car thats stock. And if you really want speed, get a v8, otherwise just enjoy your gas mileage!
