The only issue I have heard about LED kits is that the LED puts little dots on the ground is this true? If it is not you can bet I will buy a kit.
Thanks Jon

Jon,
Excellent point and yes the older kits did do that(3 years ago). But since then the manufactures changed the LEDs to wide angle LEDs to eliminate the "dots". They listened to the consumer for once. PM me with your contact info if intrested or feel free to ask more questions. I would be glad to help. Thanks! James |

Installation is a DIY project. I would have to say on a 1-5 scale 5 being the hardest; a 3 would be pushing it. The hardest part of the whole process is just determining where you want to place the controller at which point you build or lay out everthing from there. It all depends upon how far you want to take the install.
This group buy is for single color only. I will see what I can work up with the 7 color kits so keep an eye out if that is what you want. James |

How is the wiring set up? I know with street glow there is a wire to tube set up that bridges all the tubes and runs two single wires to the transformer/capacitor (or what ever that is). With the Optix brand there is a wire that comes from EACH tube and goes to the box. The optix looks pretty messy compared to the street glow.

Lite Glow uses the 4 plug into the controller.
The kit or piece that links all the tubes to one and then has one connector from that to the controller is called a "distribution block". While the distribution block may allow you to hide the wires better the wiring is still there and that would be unavoidable but with a little planning you end up hiding it pretty well that it wouldn't be noticable or messy. Hope that helps! James |

Helps out alot, now about the wires to the distribution box from the lights what guage are they? Once agian I will refer to optix, there wires are I think 18 guage, its REALY thin wire does this make a diffrence? Also you said there is little power drain, is this amount to much to hook up to my alarm system and let sit for 8hours? Its a brand new battery so weak charge is not an issue.

Just to make sure we are on the same page, the Lite Glow kits do not use the distribution block. They hook directly into the controller. As for wire size, yes 18 guage but the wire is protected under a good rubber coating since most of the application is outside in the elements of the road.
Power draw is nothing compared to Neon which needs to jump up the voltage anyway. LED Under Car kits (12V system without heavy draw) I would say you could leave it on for a few hours and nothing to the battery is going to happen. I personally have never tried to see exactly how long I could run it without killing the battery. But at shows like Hot Import Nights, you will see everyone with under car kits on without any cars running for hours on end. Not to pull away from this forum, but PM me a phone number to call. It might make it easier to explain you options or feel free to contact me at the phone number in my signature. James |
