I beat and was beat by an S2000 a couple times at the track, I had him by probably a car length if not two in the 1/8th. It was a stock S2000. He didn't start coming on strong till after that. I either lost or won by a tenth. He has since done some stuff to it and beats me bad at the top end but I still have him in the 1/8th. They are slow until they hit third gear and get over 5000rpm. Also I have a regular old Zetec.

And as for beating c5's and v8 stangs... you're crazy, the only reason the srt-4 can do it is because of its torque. Well, the stang anyway, they can't beat c5's stock.

1st, u got 2 put ur hopes high or u dont go anywhere. i see u dont, or u would be putting down some power. i never say no u cant do that 2 anyone cause anything can happen, so...

those hondas and their incredible torque.......makes me wish i had a v-tec But seriouslyl....jssvt04 i give kodos to u and all for what ur doing to your car. But i doubt ull be able to beat a vette or a v8 stang.....not with what your running now any way......and that torques is no good.....find a way to increase ur low end and overall tq a bit. If u are still running low numbers than u could be....sell what u got and go turbo. Horsepower is great but without torque there is no way to plant the power to the floor. Good luck

uhhh, most v-8 stangs would be eaten alive by what he has now with the exception of cobras, pretty heavily modded, and the new 05 models.

they might get a jump but the second he hit 5500 in second they would be about 1 carlength behind

The difference between an SN95 and 99-01 cobra isn't that great from the 99-04 GT. Unless its an 03-04 Cobra, stock for stock a GT and a cobra is a really close race.

edit: and you're never going to beat vet's with anything less than a vortech SC, JRSC just isn't capable of doing that.

Where are you seeing that Tom's kits are a few hundred more more than the JRSC? Tom advertises his kits at $5800 + install and tuning on his website.

As far as I'm conserned no one has even pushed the limit of the JRSC on the SVT motor yet. Everyone is always so quick to knock it saying that it produces little power gains. That is not the case here. JSSVT04 is putting down 220whp on the JRSC right now with just bolt-ons and a conservative tune. I would like to think that the SVT has much more potential than that and he'll show it in the next few months so keep an eye out.

I am not here to argue but simply put there is no comparison between 99-04 GT's and a JRSC SVTF. GT's are luck to put down 230 whp stock and weigh almost 600 lbs. more. C5's on the other hand is a different story.
