Window LED Switch Problems! :(
OK So i did my window switch LEDs a while back from factory green to a cool blue. Now the problem arises where the other day the passenger window switch just didn't light up...i didn't realize it right away as i was driving and after a while i saw it was off :O ! :(
i was surprised as it was working for well over 6 months already so i dont know what suddenly happened. The LED just didn't light up...the switch works 100% fine. I tried fixing the soldering joints which didn't help at all...i had changed the LEDs in my power lock switch when i did the window switches (even though i never wired it cause i dont know how to to get the lock switches to light up even after reading the how to millions of times). Anywho i proceed to swap the power lock switch into the window switch position to see if it works, still nothing on the LED lighting up but switch works fine...what gives!!! could it be the power lock switches are different and wont light up the LED or sumtin? Im going to pick up another switch either locally or through focussalvage and see what happens but im still confused...can't be a fuse or else the drivers side will not work either and the switch will not work, its just that one LED :( |

I'd say wrong voltage rating on the LED.Put too much juice through them they dont last.

Or it might just be a bad LED, my first set of halo headlights had two bad LED's

probably, also, if you'd like some step by step help with the lockswitches, with pictures, PM me.
it's actually quite simple, just takes bit of work. IT's totally worth it too. and i'm not an electrical genius. after fying two fuses, and giving myself a new hairdo (forgot tot turn the car off, lol) i got the damn things to light.
