Why doesn't anyone inside GM realize it's about the PRODUCT ?? Slapping some chrome badge on the car isn't going to move one more unit. While I'm not a GM fan, I hate to see a company grind themselves into the ground as they appear to be doing. However, we're all responsible for our own actions, whether it's an individual or a mega-corporation.

They could at least change the style of the lettering they have been using for 40 years.

This quote says it all, and this is a GM dealer!!!,

"It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of in my life," Fowler says. "These cars have enough badging on them now. People want clean-looking vehicles. They don't want cars that are badged up."

I think WTF is best applied here.

I wouldn't mind, IF the badge wasn't so damned ugly... it sticks up way too far above the sheet metal, and the chrome is tacky. Why not make a modern version of the old one? Remember, on the older cars inside the door jamb there was a similar "GM" badge but it was FLAT and it had a nice-looking blue background.

Chrysler did a similar thing a few years ago, reinstating the tiny "Pentastar" logo at the extreme lower edge of the right front fender, something all their cars used to have a few decades ago. It was less noticeable than this new GM badge because it was small, not chrome, and sat pretty flat. And AFAIK it's long gone... again.

i dont think badge engineering will have any impact.

you can polish a turd all you want but at the end of the day, its still a piece of sh!t.

They charge too much for the cars they make and alot of them have alot of problems. I like gm im a chevy guy in my focus (which I love to death) but man they are going down hill. They are slow to the get go catching up with everyone(they were on top with the muscle and have lost it since). I mean since the z24 they didnt have anything to even compete with the civic si integra gsr focus svt and even then it really was not even a match for any of them. They barely have the ss cobalt now and the srt4 is faster and as much(cheeper for more hp and room). They dont even have a car now that can compete with the mustang gt evo or sti they r losing a big slice of the pie. As for the new badge haha I hope it adds 5 to 10 hp (like when some ricers put type r on something thats not) cuz all it is, is another pos chrome piece.
