Question Volant Intake vs. SVT Suspension

Okay, so here is another chance for you FF members to help me make a decision on my car.

For several months now my father had been planning to get me a new Volant intake system for my birthday based upon my input. I have also wanted an SVT suspension upgrade as well, but the purchase price added with the couple of hundred bucks for install had kept me away.

But now I just found out that a fellow FF who lives nearby is willing to help me install it as long as I buy him enough pizza. He has experience installing his own kit, so this should go well.

So now I am torn... get a new Volant intake or an SVT suspension for my birthday? I'm leaning towards the suspension, just because the help is available and I know it won't always be there, I can always buy a used Volant but I'm not willing to get used suspension components, and the lowered ride height and stiffer ride would be real nice. But I also know the posted gains on the Volant are very nice. Oh, what to do!?!?

Let me know what you think...

Free help to install...I would take it while you have it, go for the SVT Suspension.

I second that....while you got help you might as well get the suspension....They're tricky if you don't know what you're doing. Plus buying pizza is cheaper than paying $60/hour or more for the install.

I say go for the intake, just b/c the SVT suspension doesn't do that much for the cosmetic aspect of your car...........eventhough I know that's not the only reason people lower their cars, i'd go for the horsepower

Suspension; if you're getting it installed for next to nothing you can take the money you would've spent on having it installed and buy the Volant. The SVT suspension kit is by far the best bang for your buck.

I'd go with the Suspension, I ordered my Volant last week, hopefully I'll be getting it soon, they were out of stock. But, since you have the help with the suspension I'd go with that, and intake is easy to install. Let me know how the SVT kit is I plan on getting it down the line...
