Focus vs Escort rebuild kit

Good morning to all
I am rebuilding an 1997 SPI engine with all the MPG mods possible. Most of the rebuild kits(pistons + gaskets + timing + pumps) are listed to fit Focus and my question is if they also fit escort. I know that most of the parts are interchangeable between Escort and Focus but I want to find out which arent so I can purchase them separately.
Thank you all in advance for your help.

Give this site a shot. You can match up part numbers there. Also if you want the most mpg I would steer away from a shaved head, unless you measure the aftermarket gaskets that come with the kit and it will make up the difference.
