doesn't the stock zetec start to lose power between 5000 and 5500 rpm? i would think you would want to shift around there.

i thought the peak horsepower was at around 5800 rpm depending on how close to stock you are.... i ran 16.5 with injen short ram in take and apexi catback exhaust. it was only my 2nd time at the track. Ill be goin tonight to the track now i have headers and flex im hoping for mid 15s we shall see
FC 65mm TB,Injen Intake, OBX 4-2-1 Race header, FS Flex pipe, Apexi' catback exhaust, FC 1 piece UDP. 15.875 @ 84.9mph (so far)

Take out the subs and rear seat, make sure your tire pressure is almost max in the rear tires, put the front tires at like 30 lbs, run 91 octane, launch at about 3,000 rpms on the last yellow light and between a good launch and all that other stuff you should be hitting 15's. Practice, practice, practice and you will get better!! A good driver can make the BIGGEST difference in any car.
