Cleaning a WHITE car

hey everybody, im most likely about to buy a white focus and was wondering how hard white cars are to keep clean. I'm 16 so this is my first car and defiently plan to do my best job to keep it nice, espicially since I've found a way to get a brand new car. so I was just making sure that white cars are worth it, I really want my car to be real clean often and wonder if its worth the effort. and if there are any tricks or secrets people who have or have had white cars can tell me. FYI I will do a lot of high way driving, my school is 20 miles away ,15 of which are highway(how dirty does highway driving get a white car?), I do luckily however never have to go on any dirt or gravel driveways regularly.

just looking for some input from people who have ever had an experience with a white car, THANKS IN ADVANCE

First of all, the not driving on gravel will help alot with keeping the car clean. The rain will make the car look dirtier than it was before the rain. For the most part it'll look pretty good and then when you wash it, it'll be a brighter white than you saw before. White is pretty easy color and congrats on the car.
P.S. welcome

theres a old saying that painter use it goes, "white makes right". Meaning that white is the easyest to clean, Easyest to hide minor body damage and so on. Light colors are better for hiding alot of things, Sometimes I wish I had gotten white for the simplisty of cleaning it. For normal conditions you wont really notice your car being dirty but when you wash you may see the shade chage back.

Good luck on you purchase and welcome to the focus community.

Congrats on your new car!! (if you do get it:)

I have a white truck and it looks dirty fast on the highway in the rain.

What I do like about it is in the hot southern summers, it is much much cooler to ride in.

If you are looking for an easier color to maintain, gold is almost not even noticable when dirty.
Other easy colors are, but not all inclusive- light blue, silver, grey, any "earth-tone" color and the lighter colors as mentioned above.

White is one of my favorite colors:)
(just a little noticable when it gets dirty, but beautifull when clean)

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to FF! My first car (new) was a 84 Civic S hatchback, in white. I loved it, easy to keep clean and like other's have said, didn't show the dirt, stone chips etc as much as most darker colors will. If they made the ST in white, I would have gone with it. Either way, you'll love your Focus.
