Question for Automatic Owners

On top of the gear selector knob, what does the strip in the middle look like? Is it chrome? I have a chrome strip and it is probably the thing I dislike the most about my interior because literally nothing else is chrome. I'd switch it out with a different knob if there are other options. Otherwise, I will just put a piece of vinyl wrap over it.

Mines chrome. Somewhere on here shows how to remove it. Yeah i dislike that chrome as well as the door handles and ac vents. But never got around to doing anything about it.

Its super easy to pop off. I removed mine and wrapped it with vinyl. Basically if I remember correctly. Get in your car. turn key on but not the engine. Put it in low. Take a small flathead. Pry at the top of it. Then carefully pop off from the top and pull up. There is a tab at the bottom that kinda pops in place. So you will break it if you try prying from the bottom. Hope that makes sense. i've had my whole interior out just about

Thanks. I'll have to do this soon. Maybe I'll paint it when I paint my grille.

Unless money is like super tight I'd just buy an SES grill. Its what i did. Cost me like 150 for a brand new one.

I'm just gonna color match my current one to the body color and get a billet badge. I tried the badge delete on a donor grille but it caused me too much frustration and wasn't gonna turn out right.
