I was thinking that cause I didn't really agree but with my limited SVT knowledge I wasn't sure if there was something new out there or whatever. Funny.....

the way i see it is even if i get 3hp to the wheels from the cone, it's 32.50 @ murray's discount auto.

the carbon fiber is simply to shed excess weight, but i'm wondering if the additional airflow will futher extend the gains a cone filter would give.

If its the 'twin-turbo' style scoops or even the STi style single scoop youll see an increase...increase in cold air flow through the engine bay would net you a few HP Id imagine..

now my trouble is picking which company has a reasonably priced and good quality carbon fiber hood. i would like to get the red coloring stitched in it too but i haven't been able to find any with the scoops functioning.

basically the Volant intake is like the stock box but uses a cone and has a circle/oval cut on the top of the box with some rubber to line the circle edge?

Is that correct?
