I see people usually dropping there tire pressure about 7---9 psi when waiting in line at the track. But its up to You. I would do multiple runs at different PSI and rate it based on your times run.

I have a feeling this is supposed to be in either the "Wheels, Tires, Brakes & Suspension " or "Racing, Rally & Autocross " forum.

As for your Q, you didnt specify the type of racing, but as Focituner said, if its dragging your looking at, keep the fronts fairly low. On a street tire i recommend about 15-25 PSI for the fronts. You just have to experiment a little to find the best setting.
For the rears, keep them much higher so that they produce less drag.

hope it helps
Alan

The difference that you see screwing around with the pressure on street tires is limited...i'd say keep them at what you run on the street, and focus on driving technique.

if you're running drag radials or slicks, then worry about it...otherwise tire pressure and burnouts aren't going to help you much..
