and I have and 09 focus Sedan was reading that they will work; with the 06-07 mounting hardware what all does that entail. The price is right and they look brand new. was wondering what all I would need and if it would be worth it thanks.

Look up on FordParts.Com, strut mount/bushing/plate & you should just get new bump stops & cover tube as well. Then you can assemble the new ones complete without having to re-use anything.

Here is a picture of the kit. I think I have found everything you listed but I'm not sure on what plate you are talking about.

Someone already assembled the struts, and didn't take them apart to sell them.

All the pieces are there already, just need installation.

Second Glance - those springs don't look like they match the struts. Notice how the springs fit the holders on top (plate I mentioned) and don't fit the same on the bottom? I'd guess those springs might be for your year, turned upside down for use on the earlier assemblies. Later model springs had the small tops & went with a one piece top plate & bearing (called a bushing in the listings).

Mis-Matched pieces from different years - at a GUESS the top bushings for your year might fit those springs when they are turned right side up again. Confirming what year those springs were made for would be the only way to know. Heck, I can't tell from the picture if they'd even work that way.

Pig in a Poke - don't know what those are for sure.

The guy wants 250 for then you thinks it's worth it. He bought them then decided on coil overs. Called to get
P/N's but he didn't have the off hand.

Don't know what they are, mismatched & bass ackwards for sure. He might be getting rid of them because they didn't work right that way.

Do some shopping, shock/strut kits are being closed out so you can get good prices if you find them.

Those would need disassembly, order a different top bush on a guess & try it - bit of a flyer. Double check if the top bushes were the same from '08-'12, can't remember for sure.

Worry what they really are for when you see an obvious mismatch.

There's a guy in the FocalJet buy/sell/trade group selling an FRPP kit that's properly assembled for your model year. He also has an 09.

Found a good deal on a set of 06&07 FRPP shocks and megan lowering springs...

Not sure if you'd be switching the springs yourself or paying someone else to do it, but if it's the latter option, you're still spending the same amount roughly.

But that's just my .02 cents.
