SVT Front Seats Swap For Recaro Euro Seats

How hard would it be the switch the front seats from the stock svt seats with the blue inserts to the black leather european package Recaro seats. Do they mount onto the rails the same way? Also, what about the power height adjustability, I don't care about hooking up the seat heater because i live in Southern California (don't need it). Also is there an airbag in the front seats (question because of the "Airbag" patch on the door side off the front seats. If so, are there sensors that will be needed to watch out for. Sorry this is such a long post, I sat in the Recaro seats and didn't want to get out, and now might have a chance to get some.

One last question. Do you think it will look good with just the front seats the black leather Recaro and the rest the same as before (blue door inserts and rear seats)?

The Recaro seats have the side air bags also. I would think it would be a straight forward swap and that all rails and hardware would match perfectly. Remember Ford is still a save money where they can production line company where basics are concerned. Personal taste for me would be to do front and rear seats so that they would match. It is only an apprearance thing however. The leather texture is different between the stock leather with fabric trim and the Recaro leather. The power height adjustment should not be a problem to hook up, it should be a simple power wire since all the height control mechanics are part of the Recaro seat. Also I would still hook up the electric seat heaters: some times on a long drive the heat from the seats just feels good, kind of like a heating pad to releive musle stress.
Hope this helps some. I love the Recaro seats and the way you sit into them and the way they hold your body when running the turns and twist of a good road.

You should only do it if you can make the back seats all black. You should be able to get your original seats recovered to match. I think the back seats in the Euro model ane vinyl anyways. All that being said you should definatley get the Recaros, they are da bomb.

They are a direct swap. Same wiring harness and everything. If i were you i'd do a full swap only.

I work for Ford and as far as I found the seats only come in parts/pieces not as a whole. Maybe contact Recaro themselves but beware Recaros are very pricey just look through EBAY at some used ones that are cloth and do not contain airbags
