what's the part number for the Magnaflow muffler? It looks really long.

Kind of a weird angle... The shop didn't want to plant it against the skirts for fear of melting and vibrations... I could probably get 1/2" back but that's about it

I love the sound and I love how it cleaned up the rear. Power is def there... I wasn't expecting as big of a loss of clearance. I can't lower it until I find a way to get it back. I have a plan and should have it fixed in the coming weeks.

Oddly enough, I like the look of mustangO's version over this. I would try tucking it more and just watching the plastic. Or switch to the OP's design ;-)

This exhaust mod. would be cool if it could be done on our cars. I saw this car on the Mecum auction. Cool 69 Mustang resto mod with a 427 Ford crate motor. no sale at 70k.

I am also interested in seeing what the result is on the dyno. With the combination of a larger exhaust (predominently) and a shorter exhaust I would suspect that back pressure is overly reduced, thereby reducing the scavenging effect and reducing engine torque output. I would like to know if I am correct. Perhaps since no header was added this will not be the case.

Steve

You can look at my dyno numbers and possibly glean some info... I've got the shortened exhaust, only 2.5" though

They did a cool set up on a Raptor here at Rich Ford... Used a marine exhaust pipe/tip that was cut and molded into the rear bumper
