Yeah. I'm a liberal and have the mental capacity of a pea. I don't have the ability to think for myself and make sound common sense decisions about my health and safety. Thank God, I mean Praise my higher power, that there are people like Ralph Nader to save me from myself.

I really don't see it as that big of an issue to piece together a turbo kit. As mentioned, you could more than likely fit a previous gen exhaust manifold. A shop can make you a custom DP for a reasonable amount of money.

Build your own silicone intake. Buy a intercooler core and piping kit off ebay...

You'll have to work in an oil source/return.. and I'd stick to an oil cooled turbo to not have to deal with looping coolant into the mix.

Buy a couple engine mounts and a tuning solution and you'd have something.

Unless you own the focus outright, you'd probably take a pretty good hit on deprecation on the car when upgrading to the ST. Some don't care... but that's not a choice for everyone.

Well I'm down playing the effort of some of these tasks... but the overall goal should be very achievable.

everybody should go watch the Mighty Car Mods episodes where there did a full custom turbo set up on the Miata. It's like three episodes i think. they did every single thing custom. It's a good watch and might give some an idea of what all goes in to putting a custom turbo system on a car.
