2004 SVT Daily Driver part time track toy.

I bought this 2004 SVT recently because I got a good deal on it. After driving it for a while I am loving it. This little car is just a blast to drive. I drive it to work daily about 25 miles round trip. My plans are to tweak it some for track days and maybe some autocross runs. I have a post in the performance section for suggestions but they are welcome here as well. The car has 114K miles on it. Only mod I can see that has been done is a K&N typhoon system. I am shooting for about a 2Grand budget probably spent on handling and braking upgrades. Any maintenance is not included in this budget.

In the second picture is my family mobile. Its a 2011 Fusion SEL awd.

Very nice SVT, yours is the 1st one I have seen with that style SVT rim very nice. Could you tell me the tire size you have on them and do you find they fill the wheel well.

Thanks,

Thanks guys. So far loving this little ride. Unfortunately the wife did some amateur body work along with the help of two deer to the fusion. So the focus is the primary driver for a while.

Thanks,
I think the factory size fits nicely in the wheel well. Later I will get you a close up of the wheel well.

O so sorry about the Fusion.

I have a 2006 ZX5 and its about to go through an over hall, I purchased it last February and have been ordering parts over the past year now for it. Its getting lowered with Magen Racing springs a full prothane total bushing kit, rear sway bar, ford racing strut and shock kit and I am changing the rear drums to disc with Russell SS brake lines for the SVT. that's just the suspension there are other mods as well. So I have the 16" factory rims on it now but will be putting on 16" rims that I got from a 2001 Focus, I had them powder coated white they look good but the 16" rims seem small. It will look different when it's lowered but I find them still small for my style, I had seen the SVT rims you have on yours about a year ago and I just came across them a week ago Summit Racing has them and the price is good so I might buy them and was wondering the tire size that they suggest. Your picture is hard to tell how they look in the wheel well, how would they look if there was a 50 instead of the 45 would the tire seem to tall on the rim what do you think.

I look forward to seeing more picks of the wheels it will help me make my decision on buying the rims.

I will be posting picks of my car when I am done the over hall. I plan on taking lots of pics on the tare down and rebuild and the before and after.

Thanks,
