Will a dealer service my focus with mods?

Will a dealer service my focus if I have any modifications or tuning?
I have a stock 2008 Ford focus se, I always have the dealer do the maintenance for me. I just fear adding an intake and then they refuse to do service. Any advice or experiences are welcomed.

Thanks! PRLA

You shouldn't have any problems, but that doesn't mean that you won't. Just be upfront with them and tell them it has a few modifications. How they act is up to them, most places won't care, some will make it seem like such a big deal.

No they will not deny you service because of mods unless they are extremely extensive like custom turbo setups etc. An intake is nothing to worry about.

Cool thanks man, I was wondering if i had the FSWerks Turbo kit installed if that would be a problem when it comes to service? also, do you know if that will affect Smog/Carb emissions testing?

thanks man!

I think you mean salesman.
Really wouldn't be in the best interest of the dealer to recommend aftermarket modifications before it's off the lot (or at all). That is unless they want a PO'd customer on their hands when warranty denial work comes up.

Since you don't mention the dealer you have service done at and no one seems to call you out by name; I would guess no one here can give you an exact answer.
Ask the dealership you visit.

Seems that would be a question for FSWerks.

It was the service manager actually.

Run of the mill ford dealership, I will call. My question pertained to the experience(s) had by the members of this community. Thanks for your input any how.

Iminhell: "Seems that would be a question for FSWerks." [/QUOTE]

That would be a good question for them. Thanks.

I think you'll find that a Turbo Kit is listed "for off road use only", and a Dealer isn't too likely to service anything associated with that.
