I got my 03 ZX5 SVT with 10000 miles on it for 14gs. Winter package, euro package, Kazera KZ_R rims. Really, really love it. I've been a ford fan since i was 17. had a couple of 5.0 tbirds, a 5.0 mustang, a couple of beater cars, and a 99 Durango. although i loved the tbirds, my focus is my favorite car i've ever owned.

i did have them pull the warranty file on my car, and the previous owner had a few of the probs listed above already taken care of. I had to take it in to get the shifter assy tightened up a bit (probably won't have to worry about that after i get a VF engine mount), but thats the only problem so far. Its still only got 13000 miles, and i plan on keeping it forever...

p.s. these things can take ANY corner you throw at em (as long as the tires can take it!)

Slee.

Ford isn't going to recall the SVTFs over the TB thing. My car came brand new with a REALLY sticky TB, I'd really have to work to keep my throttle setting just off idle because when I broke the TB loose, my car would rev like an idiot and the guy in the SRT4 to my left and the WRX STI on the right would consider it a challenge. Then I wouldn't be able to get it unstuck and just be stuck, bogged in a cloud of tire smoke (theirs.)

Ford just replaced the TB, the new one is a little sticky but I can live with it.

As for a recall, after all the fame that's come from other Focus recalls, Ford wouldn't recall ANY focus unless they were exploding, killing the occupants and taking out a city block.

Yeah, I am seeing how they (Ford) plays and I'm not liking it. My plan is to try to clean the TB and replace the DPFE. This may help my situation...I will let you know.

I've been having issues with the low end off the line. Also my secondary intake runner has broke twice! Along with the shift likage breaking when I was at the strip. Other than that the SVT can be a looker. YEAA

I have a clunking noise on my 2002 SVTF where when I let the revs slow it down it can be heard as the RPMs fall. Also happens when I'm matching revs while downshifting. Anyone know if this could be covered by the TSB???

Man....can they not build cars in Mexico??

I'm taking mine in next week to have some warranty(I hope) work done. Gonna try to get:
-new shifter knob(black part on numbers coming off)
-new steering wheel(mine's cracking)
-rattle when I'm starting off in reverse
-coat hanger thingy broke off
-hoodline & firewall liner are fading to an aweful color

wish me luck....
