2007 Ford Focus N/A

Hello everyone,

Not sure how fast/slow this build will be - I had a hard time deciding what to do with it. Starter Pics of Silver 2007 Ford Focus w/SAP 2.0L:

Short and Sweet plans are as follows (could change):

Performance/Engine:
Cold Air Intake - done (K&N Typhoon 69-series)
Spark Plugs - done (Autolite 104's)
Tom's Tune
FSWerks Stealth or Race exhaust
Header (FSWerks 4-1?)
TB upgrade - I think I'll get it but not for a while - I'll put that $250 towards a mod that will give more gain first.
Engine Mounts - Trying out the Anchor passenger side mount and ordered poly inserts for dogbone (arrived). CFM driver side(arrived).
Crane Cams?

Suspension:
Ford Racing Lowering Springs - Arrived, need to install (started to try but I have a bolt stuck *sigh*)
Ford Racing SVT Style Dampers Strut Shock Kits - Arrived, need to install

Exterior:
Shorty Antenna - done, unsure if I like it may DIY the OEM antenna
Debadge/blackout (Might get badge emblem overlays that say "Focus" black background and silver lettering instead of blackout)
Smoked Tail Lights
Blackout/Clear side markers?
Window Tint
Colour match Door Handles - Done (special thanks to starfuryt550.)
Colour match side mirrors?

Interior:
Pedals - Universal fit from EBay, didn't fit haha.
atx shift knob?

Wheels/Tires:
17's - done (Nitto Motivo's on Top Gear Street Gear)

Audio:
100% Unsure.

Things may change as I think of more things/get suggestions or decide not to do certain changes.

I had no idea that they made a non-ST with the SAP.

Id say my first recommendation is to get some lower suspension, and try to find some SVT mirrors that are painted silver.

Yeah I have the Ford Racing 1.5" lower springs on order as well as the Ford Racing SVT style strut kit.

I was thinking of trying to colour match the door handles but side mirrors sounds good too, thanks for the suggestion I'll look into it.

Looks good. Theres no need for injectors/fuel pump/plug wires/coils on a bolt-on engine build. save your money

Does Massive make swaybars? Or are you thinking stress bars? I dont know how they were optioned to the north, but here the SE models didnt have a rear swaybar at all. No mounting brackets either. Steeda makes a kit that will add it in if you peek under there and it's missing.

Being silver, I think its a great idea to do colormatched handles, rub strips, mirrors, etc. All of that could be found on a wrecked 5 door SVT or 05-07 ST. Nice and easy.

Ah ok thanks, I had "?" next to the one's I wanted to research more. And yes strut tower bars I meant, though I've read that they don't make much of a difference unless you are AutoXing?

In the process of (trying) ordering motor mounts - very difficult where I live. Shipping from the US usually costs more than the part and a couple of the Canadian distributors I found don't ship to the Yukon -_-

Front Upper Stress Bar is a waste of money since the coil buckets are attached to the fire wall and are pretty secure. The lower bar may or may not help. I put mine on so long ago I can't remember! Make sure you get good tires since they help more that a lot of those mods combined! Engine mounts...you can get inserts for the dogbone mount ($20) and the stock upper mounts don't last long if you drive hard, so I would look into the poly mounts ($3-400). If it's a 5-speed, look into the DIY short shifter, I did mine with good results. Buy some good front swaybar endlinks as those wear out quickly. Rock Auto is a great place to buy a lot of parts for a good price. There are a lot of good used parts on the site here as well and a lot of great people willing to help.
