Front plate

Picking up my 2014 ST today. Dealer called and asked if I wanted the front license plate bracket installed. What do I do? Lol
My state requires it, I prefer not to but I will as long it don't interfere with cooling, inter cooler, etc.......

Thoughts?

If it's required do it... That section of the grill is actually solid so you're not hurting much in the way of cooling.

I kept my Contour SVT front plate in the front window for 13 years 110,000 miles and never was stopped for it. (front plate required here too)
I had it up to right of rear view mirror so it was like a third sunshade.. With the bottom inch or so cut off.
Worked for me and left the front of my car clean looking.
My current front plate is painted black. (the plate is creamy white with black letters etc. with just a thin outline around the lettering.
Looks great disappearing into the black front of my ordinary MK3

One thing people here have all sorts of things distorting their rear plates, making them basically invisble.. Never seem to get stopped.

I like this (and it's storable underneath if you want it powered or manual):

How picky is the po-po in your state? I drove my Eclipse around for 9 years without a front plate and I've been doing it on the Focus for a little while and passed two cops today radaring and not even a 2nd glance and yes, it is required.

Before I put my front plate on here in VA the only place I was really hassled was getting on base.

My dealership asked the same question, and i decided to mount it myself. I drilled some tiny holes in the grill, then mounted it with zip ties. I just didn't want the plate smack dab in the middle of the grill lol.
