1/4 Mile Run Times

hes probably used to running that zetec he had, and the duratec is way different so he probably hasnt figured out how to drive. all i have to say man is the car has more capability than that stock. so yeah practice your luanches and shifts.

no, I am used to driving the SPI which is an auto and gutless... so... Its taking me a bit... but yes, thats my ST with those times... I am new to the 1/4 mile thing as well... those were my very first 2 times ever running...

Hey, that's fine, you will improve. That is what makes it fun! Did you have a good time? That is all that matters. Also, wait for the third yellow light to begin to light, then go...do NOT wait till you see the green light!

Paul,
Thanks for posting your results even if they aren't earth shattering. Now I've got an itch to try it for myself! My crazy brain is convinced I'll to better.  Look at this: 1st run: 18.4 2nd run: 17.8 You cut well over a half a second on your second run! I'll have to figure out where to run and then we can start a "Noob 1/4 mile time in my ST" thread! |

you are supposed to go when you see the third yellow light light up. Once you get more practice you will have to wait a little longer but when you are new at it go when you see the third light. I will bet you will still have a .6 or so reaction time but it will get better and that is where alot of races are won.
