PCM programming limit

Does anyone know if the PCM has a limited number of times the programming/tuning can be changed and what that number is?

I'm pretty sure that's just common sense that's like saying you can only update the operating system on a computer so many times. It's just a computer it does what it's told

There are some models of BMW for instance, that have a limit to how many times the DME can be flashed. So,this isn't a matter of " common sense". I don't know all of the Ford ways, so that is why I'm asking.

I have flashed my 2012 Focus over 60 times so far and my Brothers about 30 , a few customers about 15 times that are allowing me to test things as there seems to be some changes from year to year

You should be fine doing many

I have a 2002 SVT that has over 135 flasher and a 2000 Focus that has over 300 flasher

Tom

You know if you only want an answer from a certified dealer or tuner you can avoid making a thread and just PM them and get the answer faster

I am looking for an accurate, knowledgable answer, rather than something like

"I'm pretty sure that's just common sense that's like saying you can only update the operating system on a computer so many times. It's just a computer it does what it's told".

Besides, someone else may have the same question.

Never mind. If it was an issue I believe it would be disclosed with the products...BMW owners know they have a limit because the company that sells them tune devices disclose it so I don't think Tom or IE would leave us high and dry. It's even stated that Tom gives unlimited updates so it's obvious that the car doesn't have a limit or else he'd be selling you something with false advertising.
