It really depends on a lot of things to get a low 15 second pass. You have to be willing to beat the crap out of your car to get a low 15, but you also need to be a good driver too! I've seen anything from high 14's, up to low 16's stock... The SVT isn't really made for the quarter mile, but take it through some curves or slam on the brakes and you'll find out how much better it is than a non-SVT Focus.

Anyways, last years model (also the last year of production) IS 2004, and so you know all SVT Foci are similar... same engine, same transmission, same suspension. Sure there are some different options available each year, but overall every car is very similar.

Specs -

Bore x Stroke - 84.8mm x 88.0mm (3.34 in. x 3.46 in.)
Displacement - 1988cc; 121 cu. in.
Compression Ratio - 10.2:1
Horsepower - 170 hp @ 7,000 rpm
Torque - 145 lb.-ft. @ 5500 rpm
Brakes - 300mm up front, 280mm in back

Wheelbase - 103 in.
Length - 168.1 in.
Height - 56.3 in
Width - 66.9 in.
Curb Weight - 2,593 lbs. (3-door), 2,675 (5-door)
Weight Distribution - 61% front, 39% rear

Only major difference is teh HID headlights and moonroof. I think almost everyone has the audiophile system. Other than that there are the same, expect that the '02 SVTs' rear hatch piece came unpainted.

If you can find a plain SVT without any options, you have a pretty rare car. I wouldn't go saying everybody has the audiophile system (stock systems suck BTW!). The 2 cars sitting on my dealers lot only had HID's, which is the only option I think everybody SHOULD have.

Yeah, like I said all SVT's are similar. Sure the 2002's are all ZX3's and have the unpainted piece, but 2003 didn't get Sonic Blue - though that's when the European Package came out and they made a ZX5 version... lose the best color for 2 exotic ones.

2004's have different rims and a different PCM program, but I'm guessing it's very similar to the latest flash for the 2002's and 2003's. 2004 also gets Sonic Blue back!

Forgot to mention that 2002's have a crappier warranty on the drivetrain!

Also forgot to mention, CONGRATS ON THE NEW PURCHASE!

Yea i have an 02', no options, would have liked the moonroof, but very glad I dont have traction control, even though im in michigan, I dont like T/C. The stock stereo is pretty good, not very bass-y though.

According to SVT's numbers, they made 178 Sonic Blue ZX3s, and 120 Sonic Blue ZX5s in 2003.

There is virtually no performance difference between the 2002, 2003, and 2004 SVT Foci. Many appearance and other options, but no performance difference.
