180* T-Stat Question

So I just ordered the E-RMM and am looking to get the 180* T-Stat in preperation for Toms tune down the road but cant find anything when trying to search for it. I know I can get the one from injected tuning but I believe I saw where Tom talked about a cheaper one that does the same thing. Anyone know which one it is and where I can order it from? Also how hard is it to install it? I can do basic things like oil changes and simple mods like intake and such so I am assuming this should be a simple mod as well

Also will the 180* mess anything up while I am waiting to get a tune or should I wait to install it after I get the tune from tom?

It wont hurt to install the 180 thermostat with out a tune it just wont help much till the fans are set for it in a tune
Look at the Mazda Thermostat thats where you find the 180 they make a few and the difference is how the neck for the hose angles , make sure you get the right one I dont remember the number but it is for a Mazda 2.3

Maybe when you find it you can post the part number

180 deg thermostat , we have a 192-196 Thermostat stock , with changing to a 180 you open the thermostat sooner , then with a tune you can turn the fans on sooner and maintain a lower temperature , this is safer for the engine as it lessens the chance of spark knock/detonation and cooler engines make safer/more performance

If you go to a local parts place or ebay there about 23-28.00

I think C-F-M is going to start carrying them as well

I'll be taking advantage of the 180 degree t-stat in the future. It's especially useful to those in the southern states!
