I've got a HFC on my setup, and it's very quiet, but I also have a custom made 2.5 exhaust with 2 resonators and a muffler. It has just as much to do with the rest of the exhaust setup as it does the HFC/orp/ cat setup

Absolutely agree with you. I was originally going to get the Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator and put that in the mix, and will likely do that in the future...but I wanted that quiet right away as I found myself making a thousand mile trip. And I already knew that it would be pleasant :)

I went from all stock exhaust to CFM 49 state legal HFC with the CFM larger diameter flex pipe still retaining the rest of the factory exhaust. I love it, just a little louder but not much. And it's a deep tone, not raspy.

I have owned all three and found the best sound combo with a ORP and FSWERKS stealth exhaust.

Second best combo was the HFC but with an exhaust with less mufflers

anything past or before those combos sounds subdued or noisy
