Update

Picked up my light bar today. Check out the pics. It is only primered at this point will paint it after it is fitted to car and all holes have been drilled. I will be fitting it next week and installing over the next weekend, so more pics to follow.

After that I will talk about getting a kit together.

The bar is made of hallow tubing, it is 8 pounds. I will be running 3 sets of Hellas as described above in my postings. I cannot use the Innovations bar as it is not designed to fit 05 and above as these cars came with an aero tray under the front end that is in the way of the their bar. Also their bar bolts to the core support which is not a strucual member at all. I wouldn't trust it to hold up. Mine will be bolted to the bumper bar under the bumper cover as this is the strongest point and also several inches higher so I don't loose any ground clearance. Just drill 4 holes in bumper bar and bolt my light bar to car. Looks clean can't see mounting points from front without being on the ground and bar comes off for any front end service

Hope Carl's not welding it. His looks ugly. Really good guy though.

I'm interested in knowing where the covers for the SVT fogs came from, or if they are a 1-off part? (may just be a lighting/my eyes)

Update

More progress today. Got light and bumper bars drilled. Test fit light bar to car, and started painting. See photos below. Will be mounting and wiring light bar and lights this weekend!

Pics that follow are,

1 Bar after being drilled.

2 There is a wiring harness on top of the bumper bar it is taped to little tabs I popped it loose and held it up with zip ties while I drilled the bumper bar.

3 After taping off bumper cover to avoid scratches light bar was put in place and Bumper bar marked for drilling.

4 Bumper Bar drilled.

After this we test fit light bar and its mounting bolts. No pic because it took all hands to hold bar and four bolts that wanted to fall out without nuts on.

5 First coat of paint. I'm using flat black and matte clear.

6 Now all that's left is to mount and install this pile.

Looking forward to seeing this mounted. I think having it powder coated would have been better than paint but that's just me.

Paint

I agree powder coating would have been nice but because off the abuse the bar will take being on the front of the car being able to repaint it on my own was a bigger priority.
