Question Painting Wheels

I need to repaint my wheels, going a little darker in color. What I'm wanting to know is do they need any special type of paint, I know the wheels can get warm because they're right on the hot brake rotors, but I'm assuming you wouldn't need any special heat-treated paint, am I right?

Just wanting to make sure and see what you guys have done, because someone told me you need a paint that can withstand the heat, but I've never heard that before.

Only Calipers need special paint, not wheels.

Though purpose wheel paint is a bit tougher than regular paint.

If you want the utmost in durability, have them powdercoated

If you don't want your wheels weakened by the powder coater having an oven temperature to hot and altering the wheel temper, paint them.

That's what I thought. I've never heard of wheels getting too hot that the paint would melt, but that's what this kid said so I figured I'd double check.

If plastidip isn't affected by the heat, real paint won't be.
