I actually just bought a set of these with insurance money... What is that little rectangular black box that is connected to them that has a 3m backing to it? Sorry to get off topic, but I didn't want to make a new thread for that.

They're at the shop that is fixing my car currently... Otherwise I would. But it's like a little black box that is attached via some wires to the headlights.

who's dealt with sabersport ebay?

I know what you're talking about. I believe that's the igniter.

And also, all connections are the same. I only bought new ballasts because I went from 35w H11 to 55w H9.

That's correct. It's not like normal light bulbs that only run at their specified wattage. HIDs don't care if it's 35w or 55w, just that there is at least 35w.

35w HID = Around 3,400 lumens
55w HID = Around 5,000 lumens
55w Halogen = Around 1,110 to 1,300 lumens

35w ballasts will keep the bulb as close to it's stated color as possible and is usually best for everyday usage. 55w actually starts to wash out the color a bit due to the extra power. So 6000K bulbs would appear more like 5000K. But it's something like an extra 20%-25% more light. I went 55w just to say, "hey I can do this, so I'm going to". Anything over 6000K for HIDs is stupid because the actual light output is crap. Higher K = lower lumens. 4300K or 5000K are the best choices.
