Compensating much? That was my thought. They were a good 8" around.

The funny part was the guy in the Corolla was Asian and most of the Asians (Hmongs) we have around here either have nice cars or decent JDM converted Hondas.

I'm trying to think of WHY. Pulls horse trailer is the ONLY thing that makes sense, b/c it gets the exhaust where horses won't breathe it, and then, why 8-inch stacks? 4 would be PLENTY. Only other possibility is what USARice said about compensation.

My only other thought was that some of the RAMs came with Cummins diesels and maybe this was one and the guy just went overboard with his stacks. I have seen diesel drag trucks with exhaust like this. Didn't even think about a horse trailer, pretty sure it didn't have a 5th wheel though. Could be wrong.

People are taking the stacks too far. they are pointless on a gas truck, unless you mud bog it. On a diesel is where they are suposed to be. They are more of a statement for looks but are functional by putting the exhaust up instead of down. Those stacks on the Cummins are ridiculous. no point there just a dumb ass who thinks they are cool. When done right they look good and sound good, but people like to make them too big and obnoxious.
