Thank you for that.. I wasn't far off then. I always thought underglow was fun to see but not something I ever wanted to do. I never associated it with Asian, which gave rise to my question.

Good taste, IMHO, will generally cross generational lines with little effort. A good job of slamming doesn't make me shake my head, even though I'd rather have a soft ride than that 2 percent better skid pad g-force number. Just as an example. Thanks again.

Yeah, the way that hood opened reminded me of the old "coal chute" doors in the sidewalks of steam-heated buildings when I was a kid. None of that was to my taste, but it was obvious he spent a lot of time and money. The undercarriage of that car was cleaner than places I've eaten.

The company that sells that hood kit and lambo door conversion also sells flaming exhaust kits. The light up pedals, exposed wiring and fit of the body kit is what I mean by half assed.

+1. There are plenty of nice MkIIIs out there. I've definitely seen a far larger share of crapped out, ricey previous-gen Focii (poor things) than the new car. I know mine isn't. Virtually every III I've seen in person has been a dayrunner anyways, totally stock.

There are some really nice ones on here and other boards too.
