Let me remind you of the definition of rice according to Urban Dictionary:

Quote:
RICE:
Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements. (R.I.C.E.)Parts put on cars to make them look fast, when they have no internal tuning, and are actually slow as hell. Parts usually consist of excessivley angular bodykits, large rear spoilers, neon, sponsor stickers, chrome rims, fake "coffee can" exhaust tips, and loud, annoying paint jobs and/or vynils. Sometimes parts are do-it-yourself installed and are basically duct taped to the car. Most commonly known for being done to Honda Civics, but can also be done to slow domestic vehicles, such as a Chevy Cavalier, etc.
"Yo dog, did you see the Civic that guy was rollin' in? it was so rice."

"This guy's got nothin' under the hood, it's just rice. Smoke him."

"What a riceboy, I bet he thinks his neon adds 50 bhp!"
According to this definition stripes, decals, and spoilers on FWD cars (especially not color matching) are considered rice.

Oh, and I didn't take that pic. I lifted it off a Mazda board.

The spoiler is a stock Focus piece that came on the car. Painting it black might not be everyone's cup of tea but I like how it makes it more subtle.

I stand with my former opinion of the stripes. Most stripes are a bad idea but they can still be well done and work with the car well.

Lastly, you can't say that there are no mods to the engine for performance. The car already has gotten a drop and probably has handling improvements. Not all performance mods have to be in the engine bay.

Know, I will probably not change anyone's mind, but in my humble opinion, this is still not rice.

The drive wheels are irrelevant, unless you think it's still 1980.

Never seen that spoiler on any OEM Focus before.
Regardless even if it is OEM it's still either:
A.) painted a color other than the body
B.) in primer
C.) black plastic

That fits well enough into rice for me...
If I painted my hood black would I be called a ricer? Absolutely. Would I deserve it? Absolutely.

Stripes, especially off-center skinny stripes belong nowhere except in the 90's.

You can't ever say any car is rice if you say something "might not be everyone's cup of tea." Then any mod is permissible. Then what the heck is this thread about?

I don't really need to justify what I think is rice. Everyone's definition differs. Some think all Japanese cars are rice, so, for the moment, I am ricey to them.

I saw this posted elsewhere, I think it's rice, so:

NCE.
