Okay, I know the starter button on the S2000 is stock. If you'll read one of my earlier posts you'll notice I pointed that out - the Ferrari Enzo even has a starter button. So do race cars, yada yada yada. My point is, WHY put a starter button on your damn Civic?! It's not a race car, it's a Civic. Unless I'm wrong, it came straight from the factory with a perfectly good key starter - you need a push button starter for what, exactly? I have nothing against Civics as they stand - they are great cars, but they are not race cars. Neither is the Focus, or any number of cheapo economy cars. I guess I just think that a starter button is a pointless mod, done solely for the sake of modding, with no real redeeming value, and THAT is rice...

Now that's a scary thought. I await the arrival of "Fast and the Furious" stick-on starter buttons at Pep Boys any day now.

lol ok maybe they did cause they wanted a push start but sorry sir there are reasons why people put them on there car .some times the ignition swich in key what ever gets messed up so they rewire it to the side so they can just turn the key to give it power then hit the button, o and what i put the lol was because my moms 1989 dodge spirt has it cause of the reason i just said and u saying its only for race cars just cracks me up. o and one more thing if some one puts something on there car just because they want it makes it ricey? i just dont get it.

Yeah, but did that makeshift starter button look like this:

http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?...c=L9280068.jpg

Probably not. My aunt used to have an ancient Chevy Nova with a starter bypass button hidden in the ash try or glove box somewhere. So that has a legitimate purpose. The one pictured in the link above doesn't, in my opinion. I mean, for God's sake, it even has a bezel that says "S2000 Racing Starter" on it! Ummmm yeah okay.

Oh and rice doesn't *have* to be asian. Could be done to any car, by any person. Called rice because the asian kids are the ones who popularized the trend, and their cars were (and are) by and large asian, too.
