Low Drop of RPMs on SVTF

I've noticed this for a while, but didn't worry about it much till yesterday on my way home.
This is usually when i have my A/C on, (I have the massive lightweight crankshaft pulley on) when coming to a stop, but not every time. I throw it into neutral and my RPMs drop kinda low, to 800 and sometimes a tad but under, making the car feel like its going to die, but it never does. It'll rev itself back up a couple times and then mellows out at about 900 at idle.
Whats really concerned me was when i was on my way home, it dropped RPMs real low, and the car died on me. First time that has happened.

I've got a pretty new fuel filter on (out on around 95,000 and I'm at 101,205 now), new motorcraft spark plugs and FSWerks plugs put on at around 95,000 miles also, did the beefier wiring for Alternator pigtails and Ignition Coil pigtails, new battery harness, also have (as mention before) the Massive lightweight stock size crankshaft pulley on. I have no CEL or anything, she runs good.

Just wondering what may cause to drop RPMs low and may make it die on me? Or do i just need to get Tom's Tune to have everything working in better harmony?

I had a problem similar to this but it went away when I replaced my ignition coil and spark plug wires with MSD stuff. I think I determined it was a bad spark plug wire but I forget the details exactly (this was 2 years ago). But it sounds like you already did that.. so not sure. Maybe try cleaning your idle air control valve, throttle body and other bits around there? It's all pretty easy to get to and good to do anyways.

Mine did this all the time when I first bought it, but after I got Toms tune and did a few re-tunes with him I haven't had it happen again. Never asked him what really caused the issue, or found out for myself either.

I did all that, except ignition coil.
I have cleaned the IAC valve, throttle body is clean, and also cleaned the MAF sensor. I'll check again and see how they are.

And I was thinking that it just need to be tuned. Which I am planning to do by next month.

You will not regret it.

But I would try to resolve your current issue first. The tune may help, but it's not going to fix whatever is going wrong.

That's what I hear!

That's true. I'm gonna check out the MAF sensor, Throttle Body, and IAC valve again tomorrow. See if that doesn't help.

Also see what else anyone else has to say on what it could be.

Have you flipped over your coil and looked at the bottom for cracks? It's very easy to do. You can also swap your coil out with a friends if you know anybody with the same coil(doesn't have to be an svt). I would understand if you don't though, as I don't know anyone else with a focus.

The ignition coil, right? No I haven't. I'll check it today. And if there is cracks, I should probably get that replaced, huh?
I know a few people w/focuses, but I'll probably just get a new one!
