soo I took my blackB * out to work and she was driving fine for half the trip but then she started jumping again took her to the mechanic the works on our trucks and he told me that because the coil is not motorcraft it is a "crap" part and it overheats and that causes a misfire
this coil is brand new from autozone with a lifetime warrantee is it a "crap" part? maybe its just defective? ill defiantly go back and swap it for a new but does this sound like the source of my problem??

Wonder about that extra wire spliced into the coil connector.

Might be the issue if that alarm is giving trouble.

the jumping/bucking makes me think bad TPS. If you depress the gas pedal at idle, does the engine jump/buck, or only while driving?

replacing a cracked ignition coil is a frequent topic on this forum, but I don't recall anyone complaining about various brands.

the mechanic told me that the extra green wire was the alarm when I bought the car the guy told me the alarm had a cutoff switch or something

the mechanic said he traced it back and "welded" the connection lol

(side note: ive also noticed that there must be some kind of motion sensor behind the panel where the sunroof motor is because even with the windows down if you stick your hand in to get something the alarm will go off)
the guy I bought it from also told me I could put auto start in it or something because I don't have to step on my clutch to start my car

Hello hockeyfreek42,

My name is Tricia and Iíll be assisting you today and in the future if you have any questions or concerns.

I recommend you bring it in. Your service manager is in the best position to ensure a proper diagnosis, and will be able to provide available options and/or coverage for any work needed.

Also, remember repairs done at a Ford Dealer come with a 24 months/unlimited miles warranty.

You can schedule an appointment online here.

I hope this was helpful and have a great day!

Tricia
