Headlight problem

So the past couple weeks I have been having a problem with my headlight. It simply is not working. The unit itself works because i can see the amber lights are illuminated. I get a message on my display that reads "Dipped Beam. Bulb Fault"

This is a reacurring problem, hence it keeps happening, but every time I go to fix it, the bulb is working again, so the bulb isnt burnt out..

I did replace my bulbs with some 4200K Halogen bulbs, but it hasnt been an issue until now. Can anyone help?

If wattage is the stock 55watt then I'd suspect the socket friction connection, that is, inside the socket. Check for corrosion or oxidation. Also, get some silicone gel to apply a VERY thin coat to the base of each bulb. remember that halogen bulbs cannot or should not be handled so use very gloves. Good luck

Only one headlight is out. That's 1/4 bulbs that isn't working. And like I said it occasionally works.

So I disconnected my headlight, but left the power connected to the car, disconnected the bulb, and re connected the bulb, and it worked fine. Im guessing the connection from the bulb to the car was bad, all I know is that I have a working headlight now.
