Just to let everyone know there is already a tiny bit of tint on the windows already. Not very noticeable but there is. When I got my 35% tint put on and the guy measured the rear window with the device it said it was 28%.

I got my window tint last year and went with 50% front 20% rear. Did not like the 50% as it was too light. Redid the front to 35% last weekend and I am much happier. If there was a 40% option I would have went for that.

These look great! I'm planning to get tint myself but i am curious.
For those who have tint, how much did it cost you? I've gotten estimates in the 130-140's yet i hear from other car owners that this is to expensive.

Is tint generally more expensive for the MK3?

I asked my dealer and they charge $250. I'd be interested in what others have been quoted as well.

200 - 260 is what the good shops are charging. I could go into the "hood" and pay 100 for tint but it'll look like crap.

It depends what film you get and if you want your windshield done or not. My windshield cost me 200 bucks alone (70%, just to keep the glare down and heat out without being obvious) and they said they had issues with it. I got 3m carbon 18% front, 5% back and 70% windshield. Windshield cost $200 and the rest was $300. Don't get a cheap film just to save a couple extra bucks.

Got my Lummar for $125 but I think that was a deal as the dealer handled it when I bought my car.
