ST Sedan Clone

Anyone else done this? Just bought a 2012 S we got in at work that has 140k highway miles. I got the car cheap enough; I think I am going to do it. Def. something different. The car is Frosted Glass but I am changing the color regardless if I clone it to an ST or not, more than likely Performance Blue or Flame Blue. The original paint is nice, front bumper has normal rock chips on it but I just am not a fan of that color. It may grow on me but I doubt it. One of my techs at work loves that color as well as one of the salesmen. Just never liked it.

Was it a rental fleet car? 140k is the highest I have seen on a Mk3.

Wow, 140k miles is a LOT in less than three years. I doubt it was a rental, it must have been a fleet car. Most likely a recruiter.

I have to say, I've been tempted by the S sedans. They seem like a good starting point for a project car.

Wouldn't it have had to have been an SE at a minimum? Frosted Glass was not available on the S trim level, as iirc only available in silver, white, grey, black, and there was a sonic and or kona blue for 2012, but Frosted Glass was only available on the SE and SEL.

Would be nice to see an ST Sedan clone. But 140k is a heck of a lot for a 2012. My Dad's 2005 Tacoma doesn't even have 100k on it yet.

Definitely an SE as the S was only available with the black cloth interior and the Frosted Glass paint color was only available with the Medium Light Stone cloth or just light stone leather.

Wonder if there are many ST's that have been totaled so you can pull out the motor? Would be great to see a sedan with that power
