The shifter is kind of sloppy on its own. I got solid mounts that helped immensely as well as the VF lower mount.

Your wheels seem very inset to me. Both my 15 spokes and 5 spokes sit wider than that.

I can tolerate the chipping on my steering wheel controls, and the lack of trunk release, but what bothers me the most is the fact that the rear seat is still 100% dark when the dome light is on.

The 2nd gen cars are really growing on me. I'd be looking at a '10-'11 ses to put my whole drivetrain/cradle in if my car was totaled. I do like my radio controls to the left of the wheel & I also like my svt wheel too.

My 2011 SES has been a good dependable car so far with 29,500 miles on it. My "beefs" would be:

- Tires are near the wear indicators at 29,500 miles
- Rims are fading
- Struts are trashed at 29,500 miles
- Noisy front suspension since new
- Transmission and engine calibration leaves a lot to be desired

Yup! I have about 30K miles on the stock Hankook Optimos and they are done. The insides are worn almost completely bald and not much left on the outside.

42K miles on my car total - 12 of which are on the snow tires.

Have a new set of tires in the trunk.

I posted earlier but forgot to tell you how I fixed my tire issues. Bought car with 30k on odometer and worn tires, just enough tread to sell it to me. Bought OEM tires, drivers side rear adjustable control arm (was causing rear to be out of camber spec), and front sway bar links to fix the clunking noise. Lucky for me my buddy is a mechanic who knows his stuff and isn't afraid to stray from the OEM alignment specs. The camber in the front is set too high, he set it as close to zero as possible. So far I have 32,000 miles on this set of tires and plenty of tread left.
