Sure would be nice if it worked on the svt. Maybe someone else knows for sure if it will or not.

The internals are the same it's the bell housing and the way it actuates the clutch that is different on the cooper S. I know cause I did a clutch job on my SVT and a Cooper S right after that.

I'm pretty sure that's the bearings that we've been told don't exist. I have seen this page with the bearings before as someone else as posted about it too. Only problem is getting a transmission shop to replace them as I'm sure when they look up this trans in there system or whatever they look at they will tell us it's non rebuild able.

Hey qweesy, how'd this go?

Also, with all the reverse engineer capabilities companies and third parties have these days, I don't understand why one of them doesn't just get a Getrag from the SVT's, take it a part, and machine bearings and synchros and things for them. How hard can it honestly be? Isn't it all just measurements and ratios anyways?

Because with the limited number of SVTs, it probably doesn't make sense financially.
